Solids have settled to the bottom of the bottle - is it still OK to drink?

YES! The solids settle and the little black specs are black pepper. All you need to do is “Shake it baby - Shake it”.

How do I remove turmeric stains?

Those of you that have wrestled with fresh turmeric in the past, will love that we’ve done all the messy stuff and have turned bright yellow in the process! If you spill a wee bit of tonic on your beautiful bench..just use a bit of cream cleanser (ECO store/ Jif) on it or baking soda bomb or bleach (but only if you neutralise with a bit of vinegar afterward, particularly if you have a septic tank).

How long does Turbo Tonic last?

  • Unopened, it will keep outside the fridge for at least three months.

  • Once opened, kept in the fridge and it will last at least two weeks.

  • If it starts to ferment, don’t throw it away…. just enjoy the pro-biotic benefits

How much should I take?

  • 1 or 2 x 50ml servings per day for maintenance and management

  • More often if your symptoms are acute or you feel you are coming down with something.

Each 500ml bottle of Turbo Tonic contains the juice of more than 220g of fresh Fijian turmeric root and approximately 660mg curcuminoids per 50ml serving. (Research suggests fresh turmeric root contains approximately 3% - 8% curcuminoids).

Doctors typically prescribe doses of 500 -1000 mg of curcuminoids per day, Studies typically use doses of 500mg-2000mg of curcuminoids per day.

Keep in mind, all herbal supplements should be used with caution. Always notify your health care provider of any supplements you’re taking, including turmeric and curcumin.

Are there any drug interactions I should be concerned about ?

There is some research that suggests turmeric has blood thinning / anticoagulant properties and so there are concerns that taking turmeric if you have a condition in which this could put you at risk. If you are taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, such as aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), and warfarin (Coumadin), be sure to check with your doctor.
